600 days of xanga.....its time for a bit of nostalgia.

{great memories}

[first dates. john connors. caught. heartache. an interesting summer before sophomore year. a new start. a great year. squib cakes. symphonic band. danse macabre/october. the dress that made everyones jaw drop. first band. district runner up. trying out and not getting drum major again. surviving hofstetter. greg's graduation. getting the license. so long astoria. governor's school concerts. quitting basketball. great times with mary and jess. becoming a bari. cincinnati. governor's school finale. band camp. bari strap tanlines. meeting lauren. seeing kat's drum major debut. being embarassed beyond belief. dci. tall and perfect, perfect and tall. the best summer i've ever had. driving to school. seven classes. jazz band one. the class that is ap english III. bari. great times this football season. the reason is you. hell freezing over. skipping cds. bowling for columbine. a variety of jones soda. the luckiest. fall break. wisdom teeth. falling apart at the seams. heartache. starting over. quintessence. extreme restrictions. the bus ride to wilson central. we want you as our section leader! key club. stress beyond compare. governors school applications. jazz midstate. starbucks late at night. one a day. great conversations after school. a continuing, naive hunt for all-state...]

and you know, i'm not a lady blaze anymore....

in other words, new xanga.

whoa.

life is simply insane. ten hour school day, two hours of homework a night, add an hour and a half of practice, plus other things, my daily routine is wild.

and  i've realized that for the third six weeks i've got to make a 103 in ap english, a 98 in algebra 2, and a 98 in spanish. not to mention do great on my exams. did i mention my four mid-state pieces? and the act?

am i just joking myself? do i even stand a chance?

[insanity at its best]

but, odd enough, things seem to be fitting. while doing all of this is exhausting, everything clicks with the other. being horribly busy is just whats working right now. but...

----> tonight. good times.

[friends. laughter. late nights.]

new cds. key club. volunteering. attack of the sweater fuzz. your hat matches your eyes! aharts. seeing laura d. my apple and a bee, a flower and a fish. turtles. starbucks. vanilla bean. good conversations with a cousin.

[[but i wont tell you what it is; it's up to you to decide for yourself what is wrong and what is right....]]

forgive someone <---jones soda cap

(interesting how they work out)

myo concert tonight. the blackman basses

theres so much to write yet nothing at all.

[ we wake, we study, we socialize. we go home, we study, we restrict]

[but what of the ones that dont fit a particular mold? the ones who float among the various 'cliques' as they do not posess enough superficiality and ignorance to hold a role in just one...]

[at the ringing of the final bell one scurries to room number one, where all the trials and troubles of the day are dealt with through smooth sounds of bari sax. the low notes echo, making a stand rumble and the highs merely wail in rhythm....]

everything is absolutely insane. absolutely insane. i could explain but theres no use.

if you could go anywhere right now, where would you go? and would you miss me when you get there?

[....awesome memories]

Here in this diary,
I write you visions of my summer.
It was the best I ever had.
There were choruses and sing-alongs,
And that unspoken feeling.
Of knowing that right now is all that matters.
All the nights we stayed up talking
And listening to 80’s songs;
Quoting lines from all those movies that we love.
It still brings a smile to my face.
I guess when it comes down to it...

Being grown up isn’t half as fun as growing up:
These are the best days of our lives.
The only thing that matters
Is just following your heart
And eventually you’ll finally get it right.

Breaking into hotel swimming pools,
And wreaking havoc on our world.
Hanging out at truck stops just to pass the time.
The black top’s singing me to sleep.
Lighting fireworks in parking lots,
Illuminate the blackest nights.
Cherry cokes under this moonlight summer sky.
2015 riverside, it’s time to say, goodbye.
Get on the bus, it’s time to go.

Being grown up isn’t half as fun as growing up:
These are the best days of our lives.
The only thing that matters
Is just following your heart,
And eventually you’ll finally get it right.
